Genevieve Fry is a multi-instrumentalist and interdisciplinary artist based in Naarm. Combining exploratory music, photography and drawing they take inspiration from the persistence of the natural world. Much of their work is site-specific, pulling focus away from the human lens; touching on deep time and sense of place.
As well as being the writer for post-ambient project Cold Hands Warm Heart, Genevieve has performed and collaborated with Hantu, Jen Valander, On Diamond, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Jacob Coppedge, Jillian Steiner, Birdsnake, Grand Salvo, Manisha Anjali, Jesse Boylan, Outer Urban Projects and Geoffrey O’Connor as well as internationally based Taylor Mac (US) and Four Larks Theatre (US).
Their photography and art has featured on album covers of R. Rebeiro, Danial Pini and Cold Hands Warm Heart
Genevieve is the co-founder of Eastmint artist run studios, label and performance space which focuses on presenting and supporting music that promotes deep listening from a diverse range of artists across all genres.
